![]() ![]() Patreon is an interesting concept in this day and age, an old concept applied to modern day technology certainly opens up options beyond what we've all pretty much become accustomed to, curious to see if if there are any devs already doing this.Īnyway, i think mostly, why i dream this, is because i have a sinking feeling that google is gonna make it progressively harder to run ANY certified playtore app without having playservices, as an answer/confirmation to the OP, i purchase apps on any given browser, then, at the moment at least, login using yalpstore to retrieve the app, be mindfull, even though i have a higher trust in open source apps, your essentially given your email details to a program you have to trust is not gonna use it for nerfarious reasons, altgough i dont especially distrust the yalpstore author (or perhaps a possible hack due to security) ![]() ![]() In that impossible daydream, i see joao embracing the open source community and releasing the source so that if joao ever decides to close shop, tasker can live on, assuming joao does get tired of it (which i doubt, joao seems to be doing something he loves, im glad he's found something like that in life, we should all be so lucky), assuming pent and joaos deal allowed it, and were ok with releasing all that hard work for free, which i kinda can understand if they had reservations about that, especially if tasker is still an income source, running the risk of the duplication and selling of tasker by folks who might take advantage, reducing taskers overall income, hence the dream bit and the.mmm. I know this is a very far fetched and unlikely scenario, but i dream that joao's patreon takes off beyond HIS dreams and considers, maybe, bypassing google all together, or at least, releases a full featured free version (something tells me google has a policy against that) for all, perhaps having playtore as an extra thankyou purchase. ![]()
